Do invite your friends to come for the “Stained Glass Masquerade” which will be presented by the Believers, a ministry of Prinsep Street Presbyterian Church at

Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’  School (Secondary) for our ARPC Easter Friendship Event on:
4 April Sunday (3:45pm) w/o Children’s Program

Synopsis

Masquerades are always interesting. People dress up in costumes and put on masks of characters they want to play for a night. Sometimes, these masquerades are played out daily in people’s lives. People like Bobby Chin and his wife, Carol, a wealthy Christian couple. Bobby is successful in business, respected as a church leader and a family man. Carol is equally active in church and works hard to nurture their children. Like the lovely stained glass that adorns the church building, they are a picture-perfect, God-loving family.
Then there is Lim Ah Teck, the poor cousin of Bobby. Ah Teck prides himself in being able to provide for his family, despite his financial struggles. While wife Maggie tries to keep up with the Chins, Ah Teck puts on a brave front as he refuses to accept help from anyone, whether it is God or man. As far as he is concerned, he can only rely on himself. So Ah Teck assures everyone, including himself, that everything is okay.
Behind the stained glass and the masquerade, however, Bobby and Ah Teck look very much alike. When they come face to face with the hard realities, they both find themselves questioning all that they believe to be true. Perhaps, we too might find ourselves in a similar masquerade.
